Hosea 2:5-7

⁵ “For their mother has ^(A)played the harlot;
She who conceived them has acted shamefully.
For she said, ‘^(B)I will go after my lovers,
Who ^(C)give me my bread and my water,
My wool and my flax, my ^(D)oil and my drink.’
⁶ “Therefore, behold, I will ^(E)hedge up ^[a]her way with ^(F)thorns,
And I will build ^[b]a wall against her so that she cannot find her ^(G)paths.
⁷ “She will ^(H)pursue her lovers, but she will not overtake them;
And she will seek them, but will not find them.
Then she will say, ‘^(I)I will go back to my ^(J)first husband,
For it was ^(K)better for me then than now!’
